Algorithm of the finite element method for analysis of planar inhomogeneous absorbing dielectric cover
Last modified: 2015-09-12
Abstract
The problem of scattering of a horizontally polarized plane wave by a planar lossy inhomogeneous dielectric cover arranged on a perfectly conducting screen at an arbitrary angle of incidence is considered. A numerical algorithm based on the one-dimensional finite element method in the projective formulation is developed. Some results of validation of the algorithm characterizing its effectiveness, as well as some new results obtained for the cover consisting of one part having a linear profile of complex permittivity and another part having a constant profile are presented and discussed.
