Abstract


Peculiarities of distribution of the pulse electromagnetic field created by perfectly thin linear radiator in space with an infinite plane interface of two dielectric media (air and ground) have been investigated. Dependences of amplitude-time characteristics of scattered fields on distances between the transmitter, receiver and the media interface have been analyzed. An approach to select the most optimal antenna position for detecting small-sized subsurface objects buried at a predetermined depth has been proposed in the work.
