The system of longitudinal slots in a broad wall of a rectangular waveguide with dielectric layer is considered. The layer is positioned symmetrically with respect to the waveguide axis and is parallel to its narrow walls. Slots are situated in the chess order. The case when the neighboring slots partially overlap along waveguides axis is included into consideration. It happens when the length of a lowed down wave l_g is less than one in the free space. The characteristics of two arrays of the same electrical length (created using a waveguide with dielectric layer and without it) were compared.
