Abstract

The finite-difference method in the time domain is proposed for the analysis of transient processes in an urban environment, building floors, etc. For the sake of best efficiency, the finite-difference method is equipped with exact absorbing boundary conditions. This permits an open problem to be reduced to a closed one. The developed algorithm is illustrated by an example of a pulse response function calculation for a particular urban fragment. The approach developed is universal and can be used in the study of various problems ranging from the problems of pulse signal multichannel propagation in an urban environment or between separate floors of buildings to the problems of electromagnetic compatibility of various electronic devices and electromagnetic safety problems.
