Abstract

The elements based on ferrite films of Yttrium Iron Garnets (YIG) can be used in communication and radio-location technique, in particular in antenna arrays. Such elements are filters, delay lines, etc. Mechanical stresses with various magnitude and direction can be specially created in the films. The stresses can also be created by some external factors, e.g. temperature. Such stresses can cause internal magnetic fields with uniaxial magnetic crystallographic anisotropy. The magnitude, direction and homogeneity of such induced fields is defined by characteristics of deformations and influences significantly the dispersion characteristics of static magnetic waves in films and frequency properties of elements on YIG ferrites. The influence of deformations on frequency characteristics of ferrite systems can be found either directly by measuring their frequency characteristics, or from spectra of signals transmitted through ferrite elements. Both cases are considered in this work.
