Rigorous analysis of near-field distribution of spherical reflectors
Last modified: 2014-09-25
Abstract
Most frequently reflector antennas are simulated by using asymptotic high-frequency techniques as Physical Optics (PO) combined with Geometrical Theory of Diffraction (GTD) for the off-beam radiation. Method-of-Moments (MoM) is also used for the electrically small to moderate reflectors. The merits and demerits of the both approaches are well khown.
In this paper a combination of the complex source-point (CSP) method to simulate a beam-like feed field, and a dual-series-equations (DSE) regularization technique to solve the spherical reflector scattering is used.
