One of the perspective directions of fiber optical data transmitting systems (FOTS) development is their use in oceanographic measuring complexes, specifically in communication systems with antenna devices, in towed submarine devices control systems, in hydrologic buoys.

FOTS for the oceanographic measuring complex ensured two-way data transfer between submarine devices and the on-board equipment is presented.
