Abstract

The analysis of clutters generated by the reflections from aircrafts at distances up to 400 km and received by the side lobes of the antenna pattern of 100-meter two-mirror antenna of the incoherent scatter radar is carried out. The conditions under which clutters arise from aircrafts at an altitude of about 10 km above the earth's surface are determined. Experimental data that illustrate influence of these clutters on the results of ionospheric measurements are presented.
