Calculation and analysis of near field of dipole with corner reflector

Abstract

Algorithms and programs for calculating the characteristics of electric and magnetic fields (EMF) in the whole observation space in a near-field zone of the half-wave dipole with the corner reflector of infinite sizes and the aperture angle β = π/N (N is integer) have been developed. The amplitudes, phases and phase velocities of the transverse EMF components, also modulus and argument of their ratio in the normal direction to an aperture of the corner with different angles β were calculated versus the distance to observation point R/λ. It is shown that in a near-field zone the amplitude of H′φ-component decreases at increasing R/λ faster, than E′θ, and that faster, than the corner aperture is less. The amplitude spatial distributions of the transverse EMF components of the dipole with plane screen are identical beginning with R = λ.
