The method of excitation the system of cylindrical dielectric resonators by a microstrip line using their orthogonal mutual orientation is introduced. The design of a dielectric resonator antenna based on such an excitation method is described. The analytical expression for determining the value of coupling coefficient between a resonator and feeding microstrip line is given. An approach to determining antenna characteristics is stated. The comparison between measurements and analytical estimation of antenna characteristics is given.References
