Abstract

For the forming of images in radiometry, the multichannel receivers with the matrix or linear feeds of the antenna aperture are used, as well as the scanning-type single-channel radiometers. The simplicity of the antenna system and the absence of the inter-channel effects, at a lesser total cost, is the advantage of the single-channel scanning radiometers. Nevertheless, the scanning radiometers, in this regard, are very critical concerning the exact spatial positioning of the antenna system over the process of scanning. To ensure a high quality of the images, a computer-controlled scanning radiometry complex is developed by the authors; both the mechanical process of scanning and the transform of the output signal into digital form are provided via computer.
