Abstract

In this paper we extend the recently proposed algorithm of direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation named as Unitary TLS-ESPRIT with structure weighing (SW) for a uniform rectangular array (URA). The obtained two-dimensional (2-D) Unitary TLS-ESPRIT algorithm with SW provides automatically paired estimates of source azimuth and elevation angle, and conserves inessential computational load inherent for the 2-D Unitary TLS-ESPRIT algorithm. Simulation results verify the efficiency of the algorithm is presented.
