Abstract

In Desing Bureau "Storm" a new original development, intended for use in oil and gas recoveries, namely the portable research echo sounder-register (echo sounder) for sounding of working oil and gas wells was made by the order of Joint Stock Company "Ukrnafta". Similar devices are usually applied for such jobs as measurement of static and dynamic levels of a liquid in casing annulus, measurement of distance from a well mouth to a hole bottom; detection of flaws in casing, and also breakages and defects of tubing; determination of a length of a tubing column loaded in a well; accumulation of the information about parameters and modes of a well operation in any oil field for creation of automated databases.
